Error when installing DT Max from a CD-ROM

Why do I get an error when installing DT Max v6.20 from the CD-ROM?

You may get one of the following errors:

Error - 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime
Error - 1603: Fatal error during installation
ERROR: Please Insert Disk
DATA integrity check error

First, you need to locate your current version of DT Max.

If you did not install DT Max in the default location (C:\Program Files\DT Max) and are uncertain of where your current copy is located, follow these instructions:

• Right-click the DT Max icon on your desktop or from the Start menu.

• Select Properties.
• Take note of the target.

For example, if you see "d:\Tax programs\dtmax.exe", ignore "\dtmax.exe", and what is left is where DT Max is installed.

Then:

1. Select My Computer, then right-click your CD drive. It should be labelled DTMAX620.
2. Select Explore. You will see a list of directories.
3. Select DTMax, then Program files, and then the DT Max directory.
4. On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see a list of all the DT Max program files. Highlight one and press [Ctrl+A]. All the files listed should be highlighted.
5. Press the [Ctrl] key and while holding it down, click the folder DemoClients. This particular folder should no longer be highlighted.
6. Press [Ctrl+C] to copy.
7. Go to the directory where your current version of DT Max is located, right-click and select Paste.
8. When prompted to overwrite existing files, answer yes to all (you may have to do this twice).

This will automatically update your current version of DT Max to the CD version you were installing.
